Specialist EPoS solutions provider TISSL, known for being widely used across the hospitality industry and for its pioneering development of mobile restaurant technology, has this month celebrated a special milestone. More than 100 hospitality establishments in London’s Soho and Mayfair alone are now using its EPoS solution to run their business.
Says Kevin Coetzee, owner and managing director of TISSL: “This landmark in our company’s growth came without us noticing it! In fact, 103 hospitality establishments in this most dynamic area of London have put TISSL at the heart of their business. Whilst we’re enjoying strong growth outside of the West End, this area is a major hotspot for us.”
The TISSL user base encompasses hotels, fine dining, fast casual dining, ethnic restaurants, clubs, bars and pubs, with stand-out clients in each of these sectors respectively being The Ritz, Maze, Imli Street, Coya, The Box Soho, Pix Bar and Newman Street Tavern. Each uses the solution to run its points-of-sale and its back-office.
Continues Coetzee: “Quality restaurants shop for quality systems. With a very demanding, cash-rich customer base, service has to be flawless, hence the requirement for a system delivering that level of communication across the restaurant. We pride ourselves on our fantastic support and you’ll see TISSL engineers here, day in day out, helping our clients.”
Other particularly noteworthy TISSL clients include Pollen Street Social which was ranked 3rd in this year’s National Restaurant Awards Top 100 alongside other clients such as Benares (officially the best curry in London) and Gauthier Soho.
“Our longest-established client in this area is Bob Bob Ricard, which serves a luxury English and Russian menu to its eclectic clientele,” Coetzee adds.
In terms of innovation, the next step in restaurant technology -TISSL’s fully-integrated smartphone application for ordering and payment - is already in use in the West End at Grillshack.
Many establishments use TISSL EPoS as a base for complementary systems such as customer loyalty, time & attendance, restaurant reservations, kitchen displays, stock management, digital signage and property management. “Together we speed up service, reduce wastage, minimise till shrinkage, maximise table utilisation and build customer loyalty,” concludes Kevin Coetzee.
