London – 10 January 2013 – Datum, the Business-Class datacentre provider, today announces that the company’s flagship environmentally intelligent datacentre, located on the highly secure Cody Technology Park in Farnborough, will be officially opened by the Data Centre Alliance’s (DCA) Chairman, Steve Norris, at an exclusive networking event on 22 January 2013.
The opening is in collaboration with the Data Centre Alliance’s annual Members Conference, which will report on DCA progress and discuss industry developments, projects and trends. The agenda for the day includes presentations from Steve Norris, as well as QinetiQ, Keysource and DCA Executive Director, Simon Campbell-Whyte.
The Datum datacentre, which has been purpose built by specialists KeySource, provides colocation facilities for mid-sized to large enterprise clients and IT services providers. It boasts more than 40,000 sq ft technical space, as well as a separate 10,000 sq ft energy centre to house backup power; housing 1,000 racks with power options up to 30kw/rack and operational PUE of 1.25.
