Microlease today announced an agreement with Agilent Technologies to become the sole UK and Ireland Authorised Technology Partner (ATP) selling Agilent equipment direct to end-users. The agreement helps to further Microlease's three-year strategy of organic growth.

Microlease CEO Nigel Brown explains that one of the major drivers of the three-year agreement was Microlease's long experience and thorough expertise of customers' test and measurement needs. "This new agreement is intended to provide easier access to Agilent electronic test and measurement products and services. We believe we can add considerable value for current and new Agilent customers through our consulting, technical and support services, in addition to our rental services and allied financial solutions," he says.

Microlease predicted a lift in turnover in excess of £30 million in 2009/2010. It is anticipated that this partnership with Agilent could raise this to approximately £45 million in 2010/2011. As part of the arrangement, seven sales staff and one sales manager will transfer to Microlease from Agilent.

These latest developments firmly consolidate Microlease's position as the No. 1 test and measurement rental business in Europe. Agilent is the market leader in electronic test and measurement solutions globally.
