The online Mobility Cost Savings Calculator enables resellers to educate their customers on the achievable cost savings of subscribing to a Bring-Your-Own-Network (BYON) solution in order to support mobile workers in a Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) environment. Also launching is the iPass Wi-Fi cost index report. This provides the average Wi-Fi and mobile broadband data costs by region and looks at real-world travel scenarios for business travellers, and the impact of that usage to an organisation’s bottom line. These tools enable the channel to outline the impact of unchecked mobile data roaming costs to businesses, helping to drive sales across a channel partners' customer base.

Mobile workers now carry an average of 3.5 devices when they travel, and 43 percent report experiencing smartphone bill shock, which, when passed on to their employer, results in significant costs. With the Mobility Cost Savings Calculator, resellers can help businesses identify how to reduce spiralling mobile data plan costs by providing a comprehensive cost-savings report. Being able to provide this kind of insight and support to customers will help resellers to stand out from the crowd and demonstrate the need for a BYON strategy.
