Technology -> Data Management
Released: 4th July 2013
San Jose and Fremont - 4 July 2013 – Leading global technology companies Smartlogic and eTouch Systems have announced a strategic partnership to deliver enterprise content management and search solutions for large information-intense organizations.
The formal partnership grew from a successful two-year project with NASA that improved the space agency's ability to find and use information relating to its research programs.
Smartlogic' s Semaphore powers content intelligence solutions that enable large-scale enterprises to access and manage vast stores of unstructured information while systems integrator eTouch works with them to ensure they have the right information architecture and methodology across their operations to achieve their business goals. The partnership allows the companies to design comprehensive solutions for information management and enterprise search issues for major organizations.
eTouch Systems works with a number of household name companies in the high-tech and electronics market – including Google, Yahoo, Cisco, Vodafone, and many other Fortune 500 companies – to ensure that, regardless of the supplier, they have leading-edge technology in place to manage and support employee activities.
Smartlogic's Semaphore application enables enterprises, including Bank of America, AutoDesk, Unicef, Ford Foundation, the UK's National Health Service and Yell.com, to turn unstructured content into actionable information by enhancing the capabilities of existing systems such as SharePoint, Google Search Appliance and OpenText.
"Smartlogic's technology helps our clients – Fortune 500 companies, big institutions, federal agencies –achieve a comprehensive solution to goals relating to enterprise search, content management, workplace collaboration, knowledge management and other information related issues," said Amit Shah, director of business development at eTouch.
"This partnership with eTouch Systems helps Smartlogic to reach clients that are struggling with information overload, governance issues, the limits of existing systems, and an increasing need to monetize and repurpose the content they produce," said Jeremy Bentley, CEO of Smartlogic. "What they are asking for is content intelligence they can easily implement alongside their existing systems – without the need for a costly 'rip and replace' program – to manage their information and make it accessible throughout the organization."
We believe that organizations can outperform others if they fully utilize the huge business value contained in content. To realize this value we know you must understand your content, the information and knowledge it contains and how it can be applied in the context of your operations. We focus all of our energy on creating value from content – something we call Content Intelligence.
Semaphore is our Content Intelligence platform; it captures the context of your business then analyzes content to identify and present its value. Smartlogic Content Intelligence solutions enable better access to corporate knowledge, improved risk management and compliance, superior customer service and relationship management, enhanced information findability for key audiences, and an improved ability to monetize information. Hundreds of companies, including NASA, Bank of America, Target, Audi, Disney, Honeywell and State Farm use Semaphore.
