London, 18 March 2013 – On 9 April 2013, 10gen is hosting the MongoDB London annual user conference, where the biggest names from the tech industry will reveal why MongoDB is a leader in the storing and analysing of Big Data.
The event will have a number of high profile speakers including Nokia, YouWin, Server Density, and Square Enix. Engineers from 10gen will be on-hand to give attendees an insight into the inner workings of MongoDB. Using various examples of MongoDB in action, the event aims to show both users and businesses the versatility of NoSQL databases.
Joe Morrissey, VP of EMEA at 10gen, will open the event followed by presentations from partners, customers and 10gen experts. These will cover topics such as replication, sharding and schema design, as well as the first steps of building applications with MongoDB and user cases. There will be an exclusive preview on the new sharding and security features from the upcoming launch of MongoDB 2.4.
Eliot Horowitz, CTO and Co-Founder of 10gen, will be hosting an interactive whiteboard Q&A session on ‘all about MongoDB’. To conclude the event Horowitz will update attendees on the MongoDB roadmap.

MongoDB London Workshops
For those eager to get a more hands-on experience, 10gen is running a MongoDB workshop a day prior to the event, Monday, 8 April. At the workshops, 10gen engineers will help beginners and young talent jump-start their knowledge and use of MongoDB. Workshop attendees are granted automatic entry to the conference, the number of attendees is limited to 15 people per workshop.
