Timico, the business internet, hosting and communications service provider, has launched a new VoIP for Android app to provide customers with all the benefits of their office phone when working remotely – as well as a special introductory offer for new Hosted VoIP customers.
As business increasingly moves away from the office and into the realms of mobile working, VoIP for Android allows users to benefit from all of the features that are usually only available when desk-based. For example, the app will mean that users can transfer calls, put calls on hold and host ad-hoc conferences - as well being able to search global address books, view friend lists, access instant messaging and make and receive video calls.
Charlie Whelpton, Director Unified Communications at Timico said: “With recent figures showing that 80% of time on mobiles is spent inside apps[i], it’s important for us to respond to the needs of customers and stay ahead of the curve. Remote working is going from strength-to-strength, but that doesn’t have to mean a reduction in function or utilities. Our new app responds to these needs and helps our customers remain agile and adaptive to change.”
Hosted VoIP provides up to 40% savings on typical ISDN call costs and is also scalable, flexible and has the ability to utilise existing fibre broadband or Ethernet connectivity, rather than needing additional analogue or ISDN fixed line.
Timico’s introductory Hosted VoIP offer allows businesses to experience the benefits of hosted VoIP at half its usual price – making it just £3.50 per month for the first six months, when signing up for a 24 month contract.
The app is available to download from the Google Play Store now. Users must be a Timico customer with subscription to a Hosted VoIP service. Existing customers may be required to upgrade.
