London, UK  February 14th 2013. Panduit Corp., a global leader in Unified Physical InfrastructureSM (UPI)-based solutions, today announced the launch of a new Augmented Reality Tool which provides users with an interactive guide through Panduit’s data centre solutions. Available for download on iPads or iPhones, the tool is designed as an engaging and interactive 'self-serve' application for customers and as a sales engagement tool for partners which provides an overview of Panduit’s expertise in a wide range of data centre environments. Panduit partners can use the Augmented Reality tool in face to face meetings, or at events, to educate and engage with customers and prospects.

The application positions Panduit as a city within the data centre landscape, with 18 brand new videos that have been grouped into three “city tours” that address the needs of target customers:

• Installers -Subway Tour
• System Integrators-Street Tour
• C+ Executives- Sky Tour

The application presents key topics such as the Unified Physical Infrastructure, Energy Saving and Space Saving, DCIM, Cooling Solutions, High Speed Data Transport, and tackles key issues such as; How do you optimize the infrastructure, utilities and transportation? How do you enable regeneration and sustainability and how do you make the Data Centre a hub for enterprise success?  These are all delivered via augmented reality or simply through watching the individual videos.
