Introducing Bento Boxes, the latest in pre-configured application provisioning and SmartFilters to track physical and virtual resources according to business needs and requirements

London, UK – 28 November 2012 – Flexiant today released details behind Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator V3, the latest in cloud orchestration software. The latest version extends provisioning of resources to the application and further supports service providers, traditional hosting organisations and telecommunication companies to build a cloud business that offers revenue opportunities, efficiency gains and improved customer service.

Bento Boxes, Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator’s functionality for delivering pre-configured application provisioning, allows service providers to offer pre-packaged, pre-configured and sophisticated application stacks that are ready to use. With an easy drag and drop user interface, service providers and their customers can build, deploy and share software templates graphically. Less tech-savvy users have the ability to easily deploy complex and pre-approved software stacks. This capability is unique to Flexiant and allows customers to achieve, through increased automation, efficiency gains and improved customer service levels previously unobtainable.

Tony Lucas, SVP Product, Flexiant explained, “Named after the complete Japanese meal in a box, Flexiant’s Bento Boxes work in the same way by delivering a complete application without worrying about the technical ingredients.”

Flexiant’s Bento Box feature will allow customers to secure new revenue opportunities through the provisioning of pre-configured application stacks. End-users, such as IT administrators or developers, will find that Bento Boxes allow them to get their job done more efficiently and effectively.

The latest version of Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator also includes additional powerful features:

  • SmartFilters gives users the ability to track both virtual and physical resources according to business needs and requirements in a way that makes sense to them. The results are presented using customised widgets to ensure only relevant information is displayed. Increased efficiency and responsiveness is achieved by presenting users only with the tailored information that is required for a specific task. With the launch of V3, Flexiant is extending the functionality and benefits of SmartFilters into the physical infrastructure layer.
  • V3 offers scalability assurance. Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator has an extended range of capabilities to support significant growth in the future without re-architecting the cloud infrastructure. This includes high availability options.
  • Flexiant is also announcing its Universal Storage Solution (USS) which removes the storage compatibility headache. V3.0 can offer instant imaging, instant cloning and disk resizing on any storage system.
  • Support for the Hyper-V (2012) hypervisor. This extends the range of hypervisors supported by Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator.

“Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator V3 enables organisations the chance to focus on growing their business, instead of wasting time on repetitive and reproducible activities enabling the focus for more complex, value added services to be developed,” said George Knox, CEO, Flexiant.
