London, May 23rd, 2011—The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters today announced its business development manager and iXBRL specialist, Graham Tilbury CTA, will be a keynote speaker at the inaugural National Accountants Conference (NAC) organised by leading accountants‘ online community, AccountingWeb and AVN. The event is to be held at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham on June 23, 2011 and is expected to attract more than 500 delegates.
In Graham‘s presentation, iXBRL is the Industry standard – how fluent are you?‘, he will provide practical feedback on tagging, reveal the process changes that make life easy, look at whether iXBRL has made integration better and give tips on how to know whether tagging is complete. Graham commented: "Three months have now elapsed since iXBRL was introduced and it‘s time to assess the impact of the new regime and provide practical guidance on the process changes that can make the accountant‘s life easier."
Graham is an iXBRL specialist with 15 years experience in the industry, ten years of working with eGovernment and is the author of several white papers on the subject. Graham began his career at Arthur Andersen in 1994. He completed his tax training in 1997 and was admitted to the Chartered Institute of Taxation. Leaving the Andersen group in 2004, Graham moved to KPMG, where he took on a more strategic role, assisting the Practice on important proposals and advising the Practice on their internal tax technology vision and roadmap.
