OnMobile Global Limited, a global leader in telecom value-added services (VAS), today announced a partnership with O2, theleading telecommunications operator in the Czech Republic, to replace its current legacy Ring Back Tone (RBT) platform with an OnMobile managed services solution. As part of this engagement, O2 Czech Republic’s and O2 Slovak Republic’s existing RBT user base has been migrated onto the OnMobile managed services platform. Going forward, OnMobile will also manage the RBT promotion and marketing campaigns to the over six and a half million subscriber base of O2 in Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The RBT solution is part of a range of tools which enable subscribers to communicate with callers by replacing their regular ring back tone with a song of their choice or customised ring back tones for individual callers
As part of the deal OnMobile has also created a local subsidiary, OnMobile Czech Republic. The subsidiary will be staffed with local personnel supported by OnMobile Global Operations in Bangalore, India and Paris, France. OnMobile, an RBT pioneer and market leader, was chosen as the preferred partner owing to their innovative suite of RBT features, which include search and discovery options and storefronts. OnMobile possesses the most tested technology in RBT, having been part of massive global deployments in this space.
