Activity gets the 'Green Light' for CESG CHECK services

Released: 20th May 2009
Publisher: Goode International

Hampshire, UK – 20th May 2009: Activity, an independent security specialist, today announced that it has been awarded ‘Green Light’ status as a Service Provider for CHECK, the Service developed to enhance the availability and quality of the IT Health Check services that are provided to government in line with HMG policy. The announcement follows the successful completion by one of Activity's Senior Security Consultants, of the CHECK Service Assault Course (CSAC) run by CESG, the Information Assurance (IA) arm of GCHQ.

Activity is one of the first security consultancies to have been awarded the ‘Green Light’ after the scheme was re-opened at the end of 2008 and it joins the ranks of less than 30 companies that measure up to the high standards set by CESG.

Commenting on the news, Neil O’Connor, managing director at Activity said: “We are delighted, as an existing CHECK Service Provider, that our extensive IT security testing skills have now been formally assessed and meet the rigorous standards set by CESG.”
