Monday 13 January 2014: ZBD, the leading provider of fully graphic electronic shelf-edge labels (ESLs), has today re-branded as Displaydata to reflect its transition to a complete digital display solutions provider that enables retailers to revolutionise the digital experience at the shelf-edge.
Electronic shelf-edge labelling has evolved and is becoming one of the key strategic investments for retailer’s Boards to consider as ESLs become far more than just a paper replacement technology. As omni-channel retailing has become a reality, retailers need a dynamic display solution that brings the best of the digital world into the store and provides an integrated customer experience.
Displaydata offers retailers exactly that: a complete solution for in-store pricing, product, promotional information and customer engagement at the shelf-edge. The solution encompasses a full software management suite, 2-way RF infrastructure and a complete range of ESLs with the option of Bluetooth LE.

The rebranding and strategic shift reflects the evolution of the business and establishes Displaydata as a holistic solutions provider for all retailers. It will also enable Displaydata to continue to expand on a global scale and build on existing client relationships and partnerships in the EMEA, Americas and Asia Pacific regions.
