COURTIERS Investment Services Ltd, the providers of tax and investment advice to high net worth individuals, families and companies and member of leadership development group MD2MD, has been included within The Telegraph’s 1000 Britain’s Brightest Businesses listing, a celebration of the 1,000 mid-sized companies, which have weathered the economic storm and are set to be the foundation of the UK's recovery.
Jamie Shepperd, CEO, COURTIERS Investment Services Ltd comments, “We are proud to have been recognised by The Telegraph for our success and growth. It is a good message to everyone who works in the company that we have been recognised within the list and it is also nice to understand where we sit in terms of business success in the UK.”
The Telegraph listing focuses on companies and partnerships with sales of between £5m and £500m. The list was compiled by The Telegraph, with the information to identify fast growing companies conducted by Nesta, the innovation agency, and verified by business information specialist Dun & Bradstreet (D&B).
COURTIERS Investment Services Ltd has seen turnover grow from just below £1 million in 2004 to £6,267,000 in March 2013. There are many reasons behind COURTIERS’ success and one contributing factor that CEO, Jamie Shepperd, cites is the skills and advice gained from him attending leadership peer group, MD2MD.
Shepperd comments, “MD2MD is different from other forms of leadership development as it encourages me to step back from the day to day and speak regularly with, and learn from, likeminded peers. In business we face similar issues, therefore it is beneficial to get the perspective from someone who works in a different industry and can see a problem differently.”
He concludes, “One of the key benefits of MD2MD is that it provides insight into other industries from peer managing directors and business owners, therefore you are actually able to look outside of your own industry and get access to insight from really top quality commercial businesses and individuals.”
