3 April 2013 – Advanced Business Solutions (Advanced) is showcasing its end-to-end supply chain management (SCM) solution on stand 236 at the Multimodal Show at NEC, Birmingham (23-25 April 2013). Multimodal is the UK and Ireland’s leading freight transport and logistics exhibition. The event brings together more than 6000 suppliers and shippers looking to optimise their supply chain and transport flows.
Advanced’s SCM solution is part of a comprehensive enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, which ensures visibility, compliance and efficiency through the entire supply chain process.
The SCM solution includes a market-leading warehouse management system (OpenWMS) and a logistics solution, which manages the supply chain outside the warehouse (Openlogistix). SCM also includes a financial management system (OpenAccounts) and an integrated HR and payroll system (OpenHR and OpenPeople).
Simon Fowler, Managing Director of Advanced Business Solutions (Commercial Division) says, “Freight transport and logistics are sectors that must move with the times to embrace changes in new technology and streamline efficiencies. Our new supply chain management solution is one of the most flexible and functionality-rich SCM systems on the market.
“The solution can be extended to all areas of the warehouse and most importantly has the flexibility to be tailored to an organisation’s specific needs, unlike most ERP systems available.
“The logistics market is growing rapidly on a global scale as more and more organisations of all sizes recognise the importance of investing in systems and processes to more effectively manage their supply chains. Although the majority of SCM growth is being generated by mid-sized businesses, only 10-15% of them use an SCM software systems,” continues Fowler.
