Prepare your business for payroll change: IRIS Software launch RTI seminar series

Released: 6th December 2012
Publisher: RealWire

Payroll specialist holds RTI courses to ensure local businesses meet new HMRC mandate – the biggest change to payroll since PAYE in 1944

Berkshire, UK, 6 December 2012 – IRIS Software Group, a market leader in payroll and accountancy solutions, is running an RTI (real-time information) course, between 20th November and 20th February 2013, at locations up and down the country. The sessions will ensure that anyone from any small local businesses and General Practices are prepared to comply with RTI payroll regulations from the HMRC, which go live in April 2013.

Joining one of the three hour seminars, attendees will gain an understanding of the changing legislation and their obligations to ensure compliancy. The course has been designed to guarantee participants leave with the skills needed to feel confident handling RTI processes.

RTI will be mandatory for all employers with fewer than 5,000 employees. Employers will be legally required to submit information about PAYE to HMRC every time a payroll is run and employees are paid. This means transmitting an electronic RTI submission to HMRC on or before every pay date.

The challenge is that many businesses and General Practices are unprepared for the regulation changes. In a recent IRIS Software Group report, 56 per cent of General Practices said they feel unprepared for the introduction of RTI. While, an All-Party Parliamentary Taxation Group report, indicated that 23 per cent of micro business (one to nine employees) do not have a payroll solution in place.

The seminars will provide an educational overview of the changes that HMRC are implementing and is not software specific. The changes include:

  • Collection of Real Time Information (RTI)
  • Workplace Pension Reform
  • Child Maintenance Enforcement Commission (CSA deductions - 2012 Scheme)

Knowledgeable and friendly experts will train attendees. The informal sessions with a maximum of 50 - 60 attendees are designed to be interactive and will encourage questions from the audience. The course will cost £160 and all learning materials are provided.

RTI is coming! So make sure you register now.
