Marlow, UK, 11 June 2013 – Softcat is increasing its foothold in the G-Cloud framework with another new software offering, this time from prominent licensing and software management provider Snow Software. Softcat will deliver Snow Software’s software licensing and inventory tool to the UK’s public sector through the G-Cloud framework. The software will provide public sector users with increased visibility and control over their IT infrastructure.
Snow Software provides a complete software asset management solution that enables customers to simply manage the entire life cycle of their software, giving them complete control over their IT environments. The Snow Software suite includes the Snow License Manager, Snow Inventory and Snow Distribution.
Snow Software’s licensing and inventory tool provides support for the entire software lifecycle, from purchase, installation and maintenance to removal. This improves visibility and enables organisations to proactively manage their IT, resulting in complete visibility and control – essential in any organisation’s working environment.
Jamie Burke, Public Sector Sales Director at Softcat, said, “While cloud and digital downloads have made software more accessible than ever before, they have also made the job of the IT Manager more complicated, unless an appropriate asset management tool and the right processes are in place. Snow Software is a market leader, and we are delighted to make their technology available through CloudStore. Additionally, Softcat’s experienced SAM practice is on hand to help clients identify immediate cost savings and ultimately deliver return on investment.”
Mark Flynn, Managing Director of Snow Software Ltd, said, “We are really pleased to be partnering with Softcat on the G-Cloud platform. As a key partner last year in the corporate market, we are excited to be working with them on bringing the same class of service to the public sector.”
Softcat has introduced several of its partners’ services into its G-Cloud portfolio since its inclusion in the G-Cloud framework last year, increasing the reseller’s service provision and customer reach, and improving public sector access to cloud software. Snow Software products are available to government customers exclusively through Softcat.
