Egham, Surrey, UK 13 November2012: Oki Systems (UK) Ltd has launched a new partner programme for IT resellers, managed services providers, value-added resellers and stationery suppliers wishing to expand their businesses by offering managed print services (MPS) to their clients.
“For many of these companies, MPS is a natural extension of their existing capabilities. However, they may lack the expertise, the right sales skills or the resources to offer the service to their clients. OKI is now providing a way to bridge these skills and knowledge gaps and help partners avoid losing business to their competitors,” says Rob Brown, business manager, managed print services, Oki Systems (UK).
“Now a business can go to the supplier they are already using for networking, telephony, desktop PCs or stationery as a one stop shop, using them for print as well. This means one invoice from one service provider and one point of contact, instead of having to run print outside the corporate procurement process,” he adds.
Brown adds that the programme is entirely flexible and is designed to offer individual resellers and suppliers however much – or little – support they need. This might include technical and sales training, marketing collateral, access to demonstration models, help with developing business cases, savings projections and flexible billing support.
“OKI always sells through the channel – never directly to the end-user. However, we recognise that as the integration between printing and IT has become increasingly complex, we need to share our experience in optimising printing services and reducing printing costs with the channel and other suppliers,” he explains.
“Already end-user customers are saving up to 30% of their business print costs though using MPS, so we believe we are offering a compelling proposition and a valuable opportunity for existing and prospective partners.”
OKI’s MPS programme has recently been given the Print.IT’s Editor’s Choice Award because of the way OKI has differentiated its service from others on the market.
Optimised implementation, ongoing maintenance and support, as well as the supply of consumables are all included in the service.
“In today’s highly competitive business to business environment, this new MPS partner programme enables resellers and suppliers to tap into a guaranteed revenue stream over a contracted timescale, helping to make existing accounts more secure and develop long-term relationships,” concludes Brown.
