London, UK 28 February 2013 – Bestoutcome, the leading consultancy specialising in complex change management programmes for large organisations, has launched pm3time, a web-based timesheet application for tracking time spent, measuring resource utilisation and calculating costs for tasks and projects completed. It can be purchased as a stand-alone product, or interfaced seamlessly with PM3, Bestoutcome’s flagship project, programme and portfolio management toolset, so that time records can be imported to gain an instant view of resources used against budget and capacity and actual effort against forecasted effort.
pm3time captures time spent on both project and non-project activities, on a week by week basis. Time can be entered by day, part of a day, or by the hour, and is displayed in a weekly view. Timesheet templates can then be created to display each project and client an individual is working on, and reports run across any utilisation, cost, or billing item, as well as across individual customers, projects, or organisations.
An advanced workflow engine automates the approval process through the user’s email client, allowing line managers to either accept a timesheet, or decline it while providing a reason for doing so. This provides an electronic record of approved timesheets and corporate actions. Expenses can also be captured, enabling claims to be approved within the same workflow.

In addition, pm3time features flexible rate card functionality to allow multiple rates per user or groups of users to be defined. For example, an internal and an external charge out rate can be specified for a given time period or for a particular user. Internal and external charge out costs can be calculated by task, project or client, making it easy for an organisation to calculate actual cost to the business and closely manage project costs.
