London ─ 12th June 2012 ─ Vigil Software, the specialist IT Security Distributor, has announced a year of strong financial growth, having achieved a 40% increase in turnover from FY 2010/11 to FY 2011/12. The distributor has had a continued year of success, driven by an increased demand for solutions which provide compliance with security standards and protect enterprises against new and emerging security threats.
Since it was established in 2001, Vigil Software has become one of the leading distributors in its sector achieving an average 33% compound growth rate, every year for the previous 5 years. To support this growth, headcount within the organisation has increased by 30% since 2010/11, with new appointments across the sales, technical and marketing departments.
Vigil Software works exclusively with security vendors, signing a number of strategic and innovative new partners in 2011/2012 to ensure that the products it offers meet growing market trends and security risks. Most recently, Vigil signed a partnership with Wave Systems, and further distribution agreements have been signed with Trustwave, Egress, SecurEnvoy and Ultra Electronics AEP. Vigil has also been appointed sole UK distributor for Mobile Device Management vendor FancyFon.
Vigil Software has continued to drive new business opportunities through providing real value add support to its channel. It provides a full range of professional services offering Consultancy, Engineering, Pre-sales, Design, Project Management and 24x7 support. Vigil’s Support Centre resolves more than 90% of 1st and 2nd line support calls without vendor escalation and their customer feedback survey found that over 92% of people who responded found their support service to be good or excellent*.
State-of-the-art training facilities have been introduced to add value to Vigil’s channel, enabling specialist technical training for both resellers and end users across Vigil’s portfolio. To date, the centre has now trained more than 300 Certified Engineers.
Vigil strongly believes in internal staff training through its own in-house 'Vigil University' as well as investing in an external training consultant for bespoke sales enablement and leadership sessions. The principle behind this is to ensure that internal staff attain the highest standards of knowledge and skills to provide the best possible levels of service.
To ensure a strong sales pipeline for the future and to generate qualified leads for its partners, Vigil has focused on strategic marketing campaigns, events and initiatives such as its Reseller Credits Portal with pre-packaged marketing campaigns available for credits awarded on business done with Vigil. “Building new business through business already done”.
