Business Issues -> Security & Risk
Released: 22nd July 2013
London, UK – Simeio, thepioneer in site roster control software, today announced a strategic partnership with Phoenix Eye, the electronic security solutions and security guard provider. Phoenix Eye is now approved to sell Simeio’s cloud-based Site Roster Control software platform, which delivers improved access control and time and attendance tracking, as well as carbon management and compliance, for construction contractors and subcontractors.
Using Simeio’s cloud-based Site Roster Control solution, firms are able to record, monitor and report on the movement of people on construction projects. This information can be used to provide real-time business intelligence for time and attendance, health and safety compliance, and project risk management. The solution also includes an option for carbon management, enabling firms to record the distance their workers are travelling to a project, what vehicle they are travelling in, and what fuel they are using.
“Construction firms are turning to technology to help them drive operational efficiency and lower costs, while improving security, safety and compliance,” says Ollie McGovern, managing director, Simeio. “With margins continuing to tighten, increasing competition for jobs and clients demanding more for their money, Simeio’s Site Roster Control platform provides not only tighter control of site access, but also better visibility of the day-to-day running of projects. This ensures compliance with industry regulation such as Release Abatement Measures (RAMs), and provides firms with the business intelligence to achieve competitive advantage.”
Phoenix Eye supplies CCTV, access control solutions and intruder and fire alarms to a number of construction sites across the UK and has a number of high profile clients in the construction industry. Its position in the industry makes it the ideal partner to introduce the benefits of Site Roster Control to a growing customer base and extend Simeio’s market reach.
“There is growing demand for accurate data detailing the movement of people both on construction sites and when travelling to and from them,” said Craig White, technical sales manager, Phoenix Eye. “Simeio’s Site Roster Control is an industry-leading biometric access control solution available at an attractive price point and because it is cloud-based, it can be accessed remotely to provide accurate, onsite data in real time to users at any location. This helps management teams to make informed decisions as risks and opportunities arise during a project, regardless of its size, duration, or scope. The industry has traditionally been relatively conservative as far as new technology is concerned, so we are excited to be working with a pioneer such as Simeio.”
Simeio’s cloud-based Site Roster Control Platform records biometric data in real time to give users a complete overview of human activity on construction projects in any industry whatever their size, duration or scope. The software collects accurate data autonomously on Time & Attendance, Health & Safety Compliance, Environmental Impact and Project Risk Management, enabling firms to identify and review risks, make responsive, informed decisions and ensure costs, time and claims are kept to an absolute minimum. It can be integrated with existing hardware and software and installed on both mobile and fixed point devices. Simeio’s solutions are used by contractors, subcontractors, installers and Quantity Surveyors across the UK including Barratt Homes, Sir Robert McAlpine, KIER and ISG.
