Business Issues -> Security & Risk
Released: 14th March 2013
Expert IT solutions consultancy, ramsac and leading legal practice DMH Stallard LLP will be holding a complimentary seminar entitled “Securing Data in the Data Explosion” at ramsac’s office in Ashcombe Court, Godalming, Surrey on Tuesday 23rd April, 2013.
Robert May the Managing Director of ramsac commented, “In an increasingly data driven age, implementing and delivering a successful data security strategy is key for any business to succeed. In response to this, ramsac together with law firm DMH Stallard has launched a new report into data security and the cloud and we will be presenting and discussing the findings in a business-orientated context. The seminar aims to give those organisations with real concerns as they migrate from on-premise provisioning to Cloud based solutions, answers to a host of questions relating to the issue of security and includes opinion from industry experts.”
Robert May, along with DMH Stallard’s Head of Commercial Law Frank Jennings, will explore the risks, the opportunities and the practicalities of protecting your business from malicious or accidental data loss, and will explore the lessons learnt from the report. The seminar will also look at how businesses are already managing the security of their data and suggest practical steps you can take to protect your data and that of customers, staff and suppliers.
Reflecting of the results of the report, Robert added “Interestingly, the answers themselves reveal that data is not inherently more insecure in the Cloud than on-premise. According to our research it is all down to what safeguards there are and the responsibility for this resides with the data owner themselves.”
