Zmags Expands European Presence In Response to Growing Demand for Digital Collateral

Released: 6th July 2009
Publisher: MCC International

London, U.K. - 6 July 2009 - Zmags, which helps marketers engage customers through Interactive Collateral Management (ICM), today announced it has almost doubled its European customer base over the last two quarters with the signing of new clients, including Dods and the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC). Existing customers, such as Barclays, Homebase, Lotus and Michelin have also renewed their subscription to Zmags' Software as a Service (SaaS) to handle the demand from leading marketers and publishers.

Jens Karstoft, CEO of Zmags, commented, "This is an exciting time for Zmags. Globally, we added more than 400 new customers in recent months, bringing our total customer base to more than 2,400 companies in 35 countries."

Zmags' Interactive Collateral Management (ICM) solution provides a way for companies to digitise and deliver interactive documents to customers and then measure reading behavior. Zmags can be used to share any type of collateral online, including brochures, catalogues, magazines, direct mail and other business documents. Zmags can also be linked directly to e-commerce systems to make it easier for readers to make purchases to help marketers lower production costs, increase reach and generate more revenue.

New UK Customers Span Multiple Vertical Markets
Dods, the 177-year-old institution for English political information and knowledge, and the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC), the national body for the Network of Accredited Chambers of Commerce across the UK,both selected Zmags for its ability to help transform a variety of business documents into rich, interactive collateral, to deliver more effective marketing campaigns.

Zmags has also agreed contracts with companies from various different vertical markets, including retail, travel, financial services, healthcare, agencies and manufacturing.

Repeat Business from Existing Customers Remains Strong
Existing Zmags customers in the UK are also renewing their service at a record pace after finding that digital editions, created using Zmags' software-as-a-service (SaaS), deliver a better reader experience whilst helping marketers track reader behaviour and reduce publishing costs.

The UK market growth has been driven by Shane Balcom, Managing Director, UK Sales Division. Balcom, previously in charge of Zmags Global Operations, lead the company's continued growth in the EMEA regions, successfully expanding Zmags' London-based sales and support team to handle the growing demand for digital editions from leading marketers and publishers.

Karstoft added, "Under Shane's leadership, Zmags' European business has really taken off. The staff expansion - particularly in sales and support - has helped ensure our customers' success, which lead to a significant uptake in repeat business from our existing customers, and helped attract many new ones."

"In the first half of 2009, we built up our UK staff with a complete focus on customer retention and satisfaction," said Balcom. "Our team is absolutely dedicated to ensuring customer success, because we know that's the best way to ensure our own long-term success in EMEA and worldwide. We're very proud of the traction we've achieved, and of the fantastic feedback we're getting from customers."
