HBAN (The Halo Business Angel Network), the all-island umbrella group responsible for stimulating angel investment, is hosting an “Introduction to Business Angel Investing” breakfast seminar at 8am on Thursday, 28th November in Fitzwilliam Hall, Dublin 2.
This seminar will be of interest to individuals who are new to business angel investing, as well as those who are already active independent investors and have an interest in finding out more about formallly organised business angel investment and investing as part of a syndicate.
Attendees will hear insights from leading Irish business angels on their experiences, and the risks and rewards of business angel investing.
Michael Culligan, national director, HBAN commented, “Business angels are typically medium to high net worth individuals who have an interest in and passion for supporting the next generation of start –ups. The role these business angels play in high potential and growth oriented businesses is critical to developing a strong economy.
“We are running this event as part of the European Business Angel Week which is currently underway. The cross-border initiative will mark the world’s largest angel investment awareness initiative ever to take place, with debates, investment forums and workshops taking place right across Europe. Our event is aimed at providing potential Irish business angels the opportunity to meet and network with members of Ireland’s business angel community and learn about the opportunities for angel investing in Ireland.
“We will also outline the supports available via HBAN, The Irish Business Innovation Centres and Halo Northern Ireland to business angels as we work to accelerate business angel activity on the Ireland of Ireland.”
