Horsham, UK – 15th November 2012 - Damovo UK has been recognised in the second Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list, announced at National Apprenticeship Awards at The Skills Show in Birmingham on 14th November.
The prestigious Top 100 list, compiled by the National Apprenticeship Service in partnership with City & Guilds, recognises excellence in businesses that employ apprentices. After a rigorous selection process, the most outstanding Apprenticeship employers from all four National Apprenticeship Awards employer categories (ranging from small to macro sized business) went forward to feature in the list, which showcases the breadth of employers who now offer apprenticeships.
Damovo impressed judges with its successful apprentice scheme, which has encouraged young people from the local area to gain valuable experience working within the company. To date, Damovo has taken on 14 local apprentices into its two year apprenticeship scheme, all of whom will receive an externally assessed certification through Northbrook College. The scheme has been such a success that it has already led to ten apprentices being placed in permanent junior technical support roles within Damovo’s Network Operations Centre (NOC) at Horsham.
Commenting on the company’s entry in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer’s list, Simon Payne, managing director of Damovo UK, said:
