10th March 2010 - Pentura, a leading IT Security Consultancy, today announced the appointment of, CISSP and CLAS consultant, Giri Sivanesan as one of its senior security consultants. Giri will be responsible for providing risk management advice to Pentura's clients, planning and leading security assessments and revising security policies to align to industry good practice including ISO27001.

Giri has more than eight years experience in national, physical and information security. He has a firm understanding of the security industry including human and electronic espionage. Giri has full Developed Vetting Security (DV) clearance allowing him to work with complete confidentiality when trusted with sensitive information.

Giri has worked with a wide variety of clients in the intelligence community, law enforcement and central government and has worked alongside industry leaders such as Steve Cummings OBE (former Director of CPNI, Government authority that provides protective security advice to businesses and organisations across the national infrastructure).

In his former role Giri acted as security adviser and counter-penetration officer for a Central Government Organisation where he worked to counter threats from electronic attack, espionage and serious and organised crime.
