London, UK – September 18, 2012 – Quarri Technologies today announced that they are able to offer Level 1 PCI compliance within the ExoIS PeepSafe environment. Quarri Protect On Q (POQ) provides secure browser technology access through the PeepSafe secure portal for simplified, end-to-end compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
POQ enables secure web sessions on demand, protecting browser-delivered data from being replicated or stolen by internal and external threats while in transport and in use. The POQ protected browser provides a secure front end gateway to an internal remote desktop within the hosted PeepSafe portal where all credit card transactions can be processed, completely removing PCI data from the local network. No cardholder data is ever processed on the local workstation.
“Achieving Level 1 compliance is further validation of our commitment to protecting organizations’ most critical data,” said Bill Morrow, CEO and executive chairman of Quarri Technologies. “This not only provides assurance that transactions are secure, but also provides a complete, easy-to-deploy hosted solution for PCI compliance.”
PeepSafe is a software as a service (SaaS) suite of applications that allow organizations which store, process or transmit cardholder information to lock down internal functions and securely contain personal data. PeepSafe sits between the consumer, the merchant system and the payment gateway and enables PCI compliance by ensuring that cardholder data remains within a secure portal and cannot enter an organization’s corporate network. This solution enables merchants, depending on the services selected, to reduce their PCI footprint down to an SAQ A with negligible impact to existing systems and processes.
Quarri POQ is the only on demand web information security solution that controls and protects users’ browser session content from theft or data leakage by malware and end users. POQ is delivered on-the-fly when end users log in, providing zero-hour malware defense against key logging, frame grabbing, cache mining and other attacks. POQ ensures privacy by encrypting session data and protects against session hijacking by controlling all browser networking.
“We are delighted with the inclusion of the Protect On Q secure browser to our suite of services. No transactions ever take place on the local workstation. This will provide customers with a cost-effective, clean and simple alternative to traditional PCI compliance,” said Ruth Xovox, chief compliance strategist at ExoIS and former PCI Board of Advisors member. “We expect a quick uptake on the remote desktop solution that eliminates the new requirement to vulnerability scan the local network.”
