Group NBT becomes NetNames
Group NBT rebrands to consolidate under the NetNames brand

London, UK – 15th January 2013 – Group NBT, the holding company for NetNames, Easily.co.uk, Speednames, Ascio, Envisional and Indom, has today announced that it will be changing its parent name to ‘NetNames’. Consolidating all its corporate brands under the NetNames banner will ensure that the company can continue building its identity as a global leader in online brand protection services whilst offering corporate customers a consistent approach across all key territories.

Following the acquisition of Ascio Technologies and Envisional in 2007, INDOM (France) in 2010 and Cedel (Sweden) in 2012, NetNames has become one of the world’s largest corporate domain name management and online brand protection specialists. As 2013 looks set to become a key year in the development of the internet, with the introduction of new gTLDs changing the net in a fundamental way, merging the corporate business units under the NetNames brand will ensure that the company can maintain its position as a trusted advisor on online brand protection and guide customers strategically and tactically as the internet transitions into a new phase.

Gary McIlraith, chief executive officer at NetNames, comments on the rebrand: “NetNames has always been the leading brand within the group and this change ensures that our corporate divisions are combined under a single recognisable unit. NetNames is now our main corporate-facing brand in all of the territories and markets we serve. The roll-out of the NetNames brand globally makes us confident that customers will benefit from uniting under a single proposition and enables us to ensure that we continue providing the best possible service.”

Gary McIlraith continues: “Managing and protecting online brands for medium to large organisations will remain at the forefront of the NetNames business. The quality and range of services will not be affected by the consolidation and offerings previously available under different brands will now be offered to customers under the NetNames brand. Ascio, Easily and Speednames will continue to be promoted as NetNames’ companies across key markets and there will be no change to the names associated with these businesses.”
