Adaptive Consultancy Launch New British Ceramic Tile Website

Released: 4th November 2009
Publisher: British Ceramic Tile

British Ceramic Tile (BCT) is the UK's leading manufacturer of ceramic tiles, based in Devon. Recognised for its cutting-edge designs, BCT has received many prestigious design awards. Quality and environmental control are also key aspects of BCT's business as evidenced by the attainment of both ISO 9001 (2008) and ISO 14001 certification. Given the company's commitment to quality and design BCT felt that their existing website design didn't truly reflect their business. Earlier this year Adaptive Consultancy was commissioned to design and build a new site

"We decided we needed to build a new website to better represent the range of work we do and demonstrate our commitment to the local community and the environment" said Executive Chairman, Konrad Guess-Saurau. "What impressed us about Adaptive Consultancy was their ability to service all our needs, from design to video production and beyond. Now the site is live, Adaptive play a critical role in our ongoing internet marketing programmes."

Adaptive Consultancy is a website design and internet marketing agency based in London. Adaptive offers a very personal service, creating bespoke solutions for a mix of business to business and business to consumer clients. Adaptive solutions embrace strategy, research, design, technology, marketing and project management.

The new British Ceramic Tile website is designed to bring an enhanced service to UK retailers and house-builders. It contains a wealth of information, both technical and service related. A key feature is the video content. As Mr. Goess-Saurau explains "There were many different elements of our business we wished to communicate to our trade clients. We're not just a manufacturer. We have a first rate service back up and we are very proud of our staff. It's a very personal business and we wanted that to come across in the website. We felt video was the best way for people to understand our culture."

BCT is based in Dartmoor and raw materials are sourced locally. A respect for the environment in Devon is at the core of everything they do. This approach is combined with a local supplier policy which is designed to minimise their carbon footprint. This has even stretched to their relationship with Adaptive Consultancy where key meetings and decisions have been conducted via skype and Adaptive's online project management system.
