"These exciting new Awards celebrate the hard work of the many charities, businesses and individuals across the UK who use digital technologies to help change our communities for the better. AbilityNet is delighted to be working with BT and our other partners and we hope that sharing the stories of our winners will inspire other people to do good things in their own community."

So said Nigel Lewis, CEO of AbilityNet and Chair of the One Voice for Accessible ICT Coalition when launching the Technology4Good Awards..

Think! Do you know of a charity, company or organisation that is using any form of ICT to improve the lives of people who are disadvantaged, marginalised or disabled? There are eight awards that reflect the different ways change can be implemented:

  • Accessibility Award
  • BT Contact Us Award
  • Community Impact Award
  • Community Voices Award
  • Fundraising Award
  • Innovation Award
  • IT Volunteer of the Year Award
  • Working Together Award

Please submit a nomination: winning might be nice but the real benefit of these awards is the recognition, exposure and cross fertilisation of ideas that will spring from them.

To nominate go to http://www.technology4goodawards.org.uk/ .
