Mark started out his IT career as a computer operator in 1979, since that time he has worked in Systems Programming, Project Management, Hardware Maintenance, Recruitment, Marketing and Product Management. During his career he has held senior management and executive positions with several leading vendors including Popkin Software, MEGA International, Proforma UK, and Adaptive. Additionally he has also undertaken assignments with many others including IDS Scheer, Casewise, Global 360, Abydos and Wipro.

Considered something of an expert in the areas of process and modeling, Mark is frequently called upon to assist vendors and venture capitalists with product positioning, marketing, and product roadmap advice. He has in the past been described as a "BPM Guru" by Gartner Group, "A Master of Mindset" by IQPC and "Inspirational" by many others.

In addition to his consulting work Mark is a highly rated, and popular, speaker and trainer and will be frequently found at leading conferences and gatherings around the globe.

Over the years Mark has published hundreds of articles and papers on the subjects of Modelling, Enterprise Architecture and BPM and performance improvement. He has also published a number of leading books on the subject of process improvement, including "Thrive! How to Succeed in the Age of the Customer", "In Search of BPM Excellence", "Winning with Enterprise Process Management", "Extreme Competition" and his latest book "People Centric Process Management".

Mark is passionate about helping people to achieve their maximum potential. In addition to being a highly accomplished performance coach, Mark is also a licensed trainer in Neuro-lingusitic Programming, a certified Master Hypnotic Practitioner and Master Results Coach. When not using these skills at work, Mark delivers his highly acclaimed "You Can Change Your Life" seminars on behalf of various charities.
